Marybeth Orsini has over 20 years of experience in public finance tax law, having advised clients in Maryland, New York, and throughout the country. She has served as tax counsel, bond counsel, and borrower counsel on numerous transactions for government clients, including municipalities, special districts, and authorities, as well as 501(c)(3) organizations, ranging from smaller nonprofit organizations to large institutions in the education and health care sectors. Marybeth has also advised on numerous qualified exempt facility bond transactions, including for qualified residential rental housing projects and water facilities.
In addition to transactional work, Marybeth has extensive experience representing clients in audits before the Internal Revenue Service and New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
Prior to forming Orsini Law, LLC, Marybeth practiced for nearly two decades at national and regional public finance firms. She also worked at the Bond Branch of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel (Financial Institutions and Products) where she worked on guidance items and advised agents on audits of tax-favored bond transactions.
